Burnt body of seven-year-old girl found in Badhber graveyard

PESHAWAR: The burnt body of an unidentified girl was recovered from a graveyard in Peshawar's Budhber area on Thursday.

The police confirmed that she was seven years old.

She went missing a day earlier, the law enforcers said, adding that an investigation team had been constituted by the Peshawar Capital City Police Officer.

Her family and other loved ones protested her murder. The Kohat Road was blocked because of the protest.

The Chief Minister said it was a heartbreaking incident and perpetrators involved in this heinous act would be dealt with an iron hand.

Information Minister Kamran Bangash said the Chief Minister has issued directives to Inspector General of Police to leave no stone unturned for arresting the accused involved in this inhuman act.

IGP telephones father of the girl

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi Thursday telephoned the father of the victim girl.

He  assured him that culprits involved in this brutal killing would be arrested soon and brought to justice.

He expressed grief and sorrow over inhuman incident and condoled with the victim family. The IGP assured full cooperation to the victim family and said Investigation would be carried scientifically to reach culprits.

Last week, another minor's murder had been reported from the same area in Peshawar. Later, the city's top cop had given a statement that the child was neither sexually abused nor had his organs been removed.

Peshawar CCPO Muhammad Ali Gandapur had denied that the kidney or any other organs of the murdered child were removed. He quoted doctors as saying that the child was not raped before the murder either. G(dx]�
