Pakistan hosting tennis players from six countries
KARACHI: The Pakistan Tennis Federation will be hosting players from six countries in two back to back J5 International Tennis Federation (ITF) Juniors Tournaments, which are starting in Islamabad from November 23. Players from USA, Russia, UK, Japan, Nepal and Turkey have arrived and they are undergoing hectic practice sessions in PTF Complex in Islamabad. ITF has allowed Pakistan to host international tennis events after the Covid-19 outbreak. The sign-in for the main draw will take place today. The matches will commence on Monday. The tournaments will conclude on December 5. It is pertinent to mention that besides strict security, the ITF Covid-19 SOPs are also being observed and no spectators are allowed to witness the tournaments as per government policy.
