PESHAWAR: Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said that 15 terrorists were killed and four security forces personnel were martyred in Noshki and Panjgur district of Balochistan.
In a video statement after terrorist attacks, the interior minister said that major terrorist attacks in Noshki and Panjgur were repulsed and Pakistan army drove out the terrorists. The Interior Minister said that nine terrorists were killed in the attack in Noshki while six were killed in Panjgur.
He informed that the terrorists have surrounded four or five Pakistan Army soldiers in Panjgur. Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid the nation pay tribute to the security forces for repelling attacks. “I pay tribute to the courage of our security forces who will not allow terrorists to succeed in their nefarious designs,” the minister said.
According to ISPR, the terrorists tried to enter the Frontier Corps (FC) camp at Noshki from two locations, however, the armed forces effectively repulsed the attack and four terrorists were killed in the retaliatory action. After the incident, security forces and terrorists continued to exchange fire from time to time.
The Pakistan Army said in a statement that one officer was injured in the firing and that the firing continued intermittently. Earlier, a Frontier Corps (FC) spokesman said that two separate blasts took place in Noshki and Panjgur near the FC building. According to ISPR, a number of terrorists were killed and injured.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan has paid tribute to the brave security forces who repulsed the attack on the forces campus. In a statement on the social networking site Twitter, Prime Minister said that the nation stood united behind the security forces who had made great sacrifices for the protection of security of the country.
