PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party (ANP) Central General Secretary Mian Iftikhar Hussain has said that ANP is ready for mediation between Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM) and Pakistan People Party (PPP).
The ANP leadership said that they are ready to play its role in resolving all outstanding issues and restore democracy.

Talking to media in Wali Bagh Charsadda along with senior deputy convener of MQM Amir Khan and other leaders, Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that terrorists were reorganizing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa there is an urgent need to implement the National Action Plan (NAP) to eliminate terrorism. He added that the situation in Afghanistan has directed impacts on Pakistan, especially on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and today terrorists are once again preparing to launch attacks across the country.
He said that the ANP is ready to work with any party for strengthening democracy, for supremacy of constitution and fighting the militancy. He said that the ANP reservations in regarding local body election law but they would not left the field open for the ruling party and will contact elections. He said that the PPP has extended an invitation for the long march but the party has yet to take any decision in this regard.
Talking to media on the occasion, MQM Pakistan convener Aamir Khan said that every political party should play role for strengthening democracy. Talking about the opposition no-confidence motion against the government, Aamir Khan said that any decision will be taken according to circumstances. He claimed that efforts will be made to protect the rights of people and an resolve all outstanding issues.
Earlier, a meeting was held between the leaders of the two parties in which ANP provincial president Aimal Wali Khan, general secretary Sardar Hussain Babak, central secretary finance Senator Haji Hidayatullah Khan, provincial finance secretary Mukhtiar Khan, provincial culture secretary Khadim Hussain, MQM leader and former Karachi mayor Wasim Akhtar and other officials participated.
