PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have said that a former head of peace committee Malik Nasrullah Khan has been killed in A remote control blast in Jandola area of Tank district on Tuesday.
The police said that his vehicle was hit by a remote controlled bomb in the Jandola area of Tank as a result he was criticially injured. Khan was rushed to Jandola hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. After the attack, Frontier corps and Police personnel cordoned off the area and launched search operation.

Similarly, in another attack, five person were injured after unknown persons hurled hand grenade inside a seminary in the Eidak area of Mirali in North Waziristan. The police said that two masked militants hurled a hand grenade at a gathering inside the Nizamiya Madrassa in the Eidak area as a result five people were injured.
The police said that the attackers escaped after committing the crime however a case has been registered against the unidentified persons. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. The attack comes a day after militants shot dead two brothers at a stadium in Miramshah, North Waziristan, on the afternoon of February 21.
On February 21, a police mobile van was attack with Improvised Explosive Device as a result five policemen was injured. The police said that the attackers escaped after the attack. No group has claimed its responsibility.
Yesterday, the KP Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed to have arrested two terrorists during an operation from Torkham. The CTD claimed that the accused were involved in the Army Public School attack in 2014. The accused were identified as Jan Wali alias Sheena and Hamad Ashraf. The CTD said in a statement that a special team was formed after the intelligence reports that terrorists were present in Tokham. The accused were under investigation and further revelations are expected.
