PESHAWAR: The residents of Nothia and Gulbahar areas in provincial capital, Peshawar, staged protests demonstration against the “unjust” gas and electricity power outages.
The protestors were led by Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) member KP assembly Safdar Khan Baghi. The roads in the city were closed for more than five hours disrupting traffic across the city. They cleared the road after negotiation with the government officials who assured that there would be no unscheduled power cuts.
Moreover, the government also announced there will no power cuts during Iftar and Sehri times in the holy Ramazan.
