Islamabad: The postmortem of Arshad Sharif has been concluded at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital. The deceased has been shifted back to the Quaid e Azam hospital.
The post mortem was conducted by an eight-member medical board that consisted of senior doctors. The deceased’s first post mortem was carried out in Nairobi, Kenya, where he was shot in the head by the police.
Earlier today, the dead body of senior journalist and anchor person Arshad Sharif was shifted to PIMS hospital Islamabad after it was brought home from Kenya.
The Late Arshad Sharif had a heroic welcome in the presence of FC personnel and a heavy contingent of Police at Islamabad International Airport on Wednesday. The deceased’s family, friends, and well-wishers gathered at the airport to receive the deadbody. The dead body was then shifted to a morgue in PIMS Hospital Islamabad.
The family of Arshad Sharif announced that the deceased would be put to rest after a post-mortem on Thursday morning.
The killing of Pakistan’s most outspoken and credible anchor person has created a wave of rage among the people. A thorough investigation into the matter and justice for the murder of the deceased is awaited. A two-member team has been sent to Kenya from Pakistan to further investigate the matter.
