A medical report found alcohol in the blood sample taken from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry at the time of his arrest, indicating that the former minister may have been intoxicated.
According to Punjab Forensic Science Agency, the arrest time of the PTI leader was 5 am on January 25, 2023, and the sample was collected at 8:45 pm at PIMS Hospital on January 25, 2023, which indicates
that Fawad Ahmad Chaudhry might have ingested alcohol at 5 am on January 25th. If the aforementioned assumption is accurate, then blood alcohol level would be in the lethal alcohol concentration range, i.e. 0.4 g/dL.
The Islamabad police have registered another case against Fawad after receiving the toxicology report. The PTI leader was arrested in Lahore on January 25 for allegedly creating violence against the Election Commission of Pakistan.
