The notorious terrorist, Sanaullah Ghafoori, also known as Shahaab Al-Muhajir, has met his demise in the depths of Afghanistan, the primary nemesis of Pakistan and the merciless killer of innocent civilians. The elimination of this terrorist was not only a significant victory for Pakistan but also a globally celebrated event. Having migrated from India with his family, the terrorist found refuge in Afghanistan, making it the center of his nefarious activities.
Ghafoori received religious education at a seminary in Kabul, Afghanistan, and actively participated in numerous attacks across Iran, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and even Pakistan itself. His reign of terror knew no bounds. Since April 2020, Ghafoori had not only become the mastermind of the Islamic State of Khorasan Province but also held the position of the main strategist and head of operations for all their activities.
The United Nations, United States, and the European Union designated him as a global terrorist in December 2021, imposing heavy sanctions and placing a bounty of ten million dollars on his head.
Ghafoori’s name echoed as the mastermind behind countless attacks in Pakistan and worldwide. Some of his heinous acts include the assault on the Pakistani Embassy in Kabul, a suicide bombing at an imam’s storytelling gathering in Peshawar’s bazaar, prison breaks in Nangarhar, rocket attacks in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, an explosion at the shrine of Shah Chiragh in Iran, a suicide bombing at the central and largest Shia mosque in Mazar-i-Sharif, an attack on the Russian embassy, and targeting Chinese nationals at the Logar Hotel.
The Kabul International Airport was also among the long list of locations he struck, along with numerous other attacks that held central significance in Afghanistan. Even the US State Department Bureau revealed that Ghafoori was the crucial member of ISIS-K responsible for authorizing all operations and fundraising for their act
