The security plan for Eid al-Adha has been given its final shape by the Capital City Police in Peshawar. According to the plan, more than four thousand police officers and personnel will fulfill their security duties during the festival to ensure peace and tranquility. In order to establish a sense of security in the city, the leaves of the personnel have also been canceled.
The city has increased the presence of Eagle Squads, City Patrols, and Police Mobile Units. Additionally, strict monitoring of all internal and external roads of the city has been enforced.
Extra police personnel have been deployed in all major markets and highways, and officers in plain clothes have been assigned to keep a close eye on livestock markets and individuals suspected of any wrongdoing.
In the crowded marketplaces of the city, alongside the Sani-Francis and Ladies Police personnel, City Patrol Forces and Police Response Vehicles will conduct patrols. Police Help Desks have also been set up in livestock markets to maintain peace, ensure the welfare of the citizens, and promptly address any issues.
Full security will be provided to Eid prayer congregations, including large gatherings and sensitive mosques in the city, where police officers will be assigned in plain clothes.
The Capital City Police has also deployed additional traffic police officers to maintain smooth traffic flow and manage the influx of vehicles on various highways, markets, and livestock markets.
Furthermore, the Traffic Police has devised a special traffic plan, with over a thousand traffic police officers assigned to duty to ensure the smooth flow of traffic during the festival.
