Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah’s recent remarks, where Nasrallah had referred to Israel as an “easy catch.” Netanyahu firmly rebutted, stating, “Nasrallah may have called us an easy fish, but we have proven ourselves to be as strong as steel.”
According to Arab media, Netanyahu continued his fiery comments, calling Nasrallah a “great terrorist” and asserting that it was necessary to eliminate him to maintain the balance of power in the region. He expressed that while the chapter threatening Israel’s safety had been closed, the mission was far from complete. Netanyahu hinted that similar actions would follow in the coming days, signaling more tensions ahead.
Meanwhile, an Israeli military commander also issued a stern warning, stating, “We will target Hezbollah’s new leader as well.” He emphasized that the conflict would persist until all hostages were freed and Jewish settlements were secure.
It is worth noting that Hezbollah confirmed Nasrallah’s assassination in an Israeli airstrike just a day ago. Nasrallah had been hiding in a 50-foot-deep underground tunnel, where Israeli forces eventually located him. Following his death, Hezbollah appointed Naeem Qassem as the interim leader, with a permanent successor to be announced later.
