PESHAWAR: A group of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists staged protest against inflation and unemployment during the PTI rally in Peshawar on Sunday.
The protesters were holding banners inscribed with anti-inflation slogans. The inflation-stricken workers chanted slogans, asking the government to provide immediate relief to masses against price-hike. “Money should not be spent on political rallies,” the PTI protesting workers told the media, “Today, the poor is not able to earn meal because of the high inflation and ‘cruel’ increase in petrol prices.” They alleged that ahead of the local government polls, the government is holding rallies to lure voters instead of giving relief to the people.
