Bilawal further said that “new Pakistan” means inflation, unemployment and poverty. Chairman PPP added that ‘tsunami’ of taxes is being brought under the mini budget on the direction of the IMF. The PPP leader said the mini budget will bring Rs350 billion more taxes and cut of Rs250 billion in the development budget but the government still claims that it will have no impact on the common men.
The PPP chief said that today the government members cannot visit their constituencies but they still defend the economic performance of the “incompetent” government. He said that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have already rejected the PTI in the local government elections. “The Prime Minister himself travels by plane but has snatched even bicycle from common men by imposing new taxes,” Bilawal added in his address.
He said that tax is being levied on laptops, mobile internet, computers and electronic goods which is ‘injustice’ with the youth. Criticizing Prime Minister Imran Khan, the PPP chairman said that Imran Khan was rights in saying that there is crisis in every century, however, Bilawal alleged that ‘the biggest crisis of this century is Imran Khan’.
He said, “Even sewing machines have been taxed. People now understand that Imran Niazi is responsible for Pakistan’s economic destruction.”
