PESHAWAR: The Australian all-rounder James Faulkner has left Pakistan Super league (PSL-7) prematurely, accusing the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) of not honouring contractually agreed payment but the PCB has termed the allegation “false and misleading”.
A staPCB said that the Australian cricketer had made “false and misleading” accusation and a detailed statement will be issued soon.

Earlier, the Quetta Gladiators all-rounder James Faulkner announced his withdrawal from the rest of the PSL matches and said that he was returning home. In his message on the social networking site Twitter, he wrote that he will not be able to play the remaining two matches of the league. He apologized to cricket fans for leaving the league prematurely.
The Australian cricketer, who represented Quetta Gladiators in the PSL-7, had alleged that the PCB did not abide by his contract and compensation, hence, he is have taken the bitter decision. Faulkner said: “It hurts to leave PSL. I wanted to help bring back international cricket to Pakistan. Here is lot of cricket talent and fans are amazing. The Australian cricketer further said that the treatment meted out to him was “humiliating”.
According to the sources, the Australian all-rounder has been paid 70% as per the agreement but he wanted the PCB to transfer the fund to another bank account, but when the PCB demanded refund of the first payment, Faulkner refused. According to sources, the team management had complaint against his attitude. He had also refused to play the 18th February match against Multan Sultans.
Afte James Faulkner left PSl, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh leader and provincial minister Nasir Hussain Shah in a Twitter post requested him to stay in Pakistan and play the remaining matches. “I think there must have been some misunderstanding. Every promise made with him will be fulfilled,” the minister assured. The PPP leader said that the Pakistan Cricket Board has worked day and night to make the PSL a success and he is sure that “the intentions of PCB are good.”
The provincial minister further said in his tweet that the Sindh government is with the Pakistan Cricket Board in the national interest and will support it in keeping the national flag high in all circumstances.
