PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has launched a One Window Business Portal with the aim to promote industrial activities by facilitating investors and business community.
The One Window Portal will serve as a “one stop shop” for investors and business community to get registrations, licenses, certifications and permits of various departments required for investment in KP. Chief Minister Mahmood Khan inaugurated the One Window Business Portal on Monday.

The portal has been jointly developed by KP board of investment and KP information Technology Board to connect businesses with the relevant provincial and federal stakeholders digitally. “The portal is a one click shop that connects business with 11 departments making the system formidable, efficient and effective,” said a statement issued after the inauguration ceremony. “Besides, facilitating the business community, the portal will provide online facility for payments of various taxes, registration fees and approval of building maps.”
The statement claimed that the investors and business community will got rid of the time consuming and cumbersome processes of obtaining NOCs. “The portal will also ensure transparency and accountability in the issuance of NOCs for starting business,” the statement informed.
The chief minister termed the launching of One Window Business Portal as an “important achievement” to achieve Ease of Doings Business. He said that it will be very helpful in attracting the private sector investors. CM Khan stated that KP government is taking result-oriented steps for extending maximum facilitation to investors. Khan said that besides other facilities, the KP government was offering tax rebate to attract investors.
The chief minster claimed that the KP government is providing the locally produced of electricity on cheaper rates to the local industries through its wheeling system so that maximum job opportunities could be created. He maintained that environment is very conducive for private sectors investors, and called upon investors in KP.
