PESHAWAR: The North Waziristan district administration distributed pamphlets asking for the people support against the hardline militant group Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and arrest of notorious terrorist.
Through the pamphlets, the government announced head money for seven TTP terrorists asking the public to cooperate in apprehending terrorists. The officials said that Rs5million head money has been announced each for TTP commanders called Syed Anar, Shafirullah and Hameedullah while Rs3 million each has been announced for Rehmanullah, Mir Khatam, Hassan Gul and Aftabullah Tariq.
The pamphlets were written in Urdu and Pashto.

Yesterday, the Awami National Party (ANP) has moved an adjournment motion in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly against the rising incidence of terrorism and ‘targeted killings’ in the province. The adjournment motion, filed by provincial general secretary and parliamentary leader Sardar Hussain Babak, said that the normal proceedings should be stopped and a discus this most important issue.
Pakistan’s tribal districts of South and North Waziristan are once again witnessing an increase in targeted killings. On the other hand, unannounced operations of security forces against militants are also underway. Security forces in Waziristan are seeking the help of citizens to maintain law and order.
Last week, ther Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said that a delegation has been sent for talks with the banned hard-line organisation Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) but it is unlikely to bring talks.
Briefing the Senate Committee on Home Affairs, the minister said that Afghan Taliban had initially negotiated with the TTP and tried to pursue the militants group to settle issues with Pakistan but the process was stopped as the TTP’s conditions were unacceptable.
The Interior Minister informed that TTP’s militants are hiding in the border areas of Afghanistan and recently several of its splintered groups have made alliance. He claimed that recently two of the TTP terrorists have been killed in Islamabad.
