PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif has said that the suicide bomber and his facilitators have been identified with the help of NADRA and entire network will be presented to media in 48 hours.
Addressing a news conference with police officials, Saif said that polio campaign was also underway in the province, therefore, the police had diverted its energies to provide security to polio vaccination teams. He added police personnel were also present outside Hindu temple for a religious festival. Saif said that there may be flayed in intelligence as no threat alert was issued.

“Evidence has been gathered, investigations are underway, facilitators of the suicide bomber have been identified and some people have been arrested. We will present the actual network to the media in 48 hours,” he said. Saif said that all the intelligence agencies are working together and many terror incidents have been foiled.
Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ejaz Khan said that 5500 personnel were deployed to protect polio vaccination teams in Peshawar district. He said that personnel were deployed at different religious gatherings. CCPO Ijaz Khan said that overall security in the city was on high alert and foolproof security is bring provided to all place of worship.
He said that a team comprising of CTD, Peshawar Police and intelligence agencies had obtained important evidence from the crime spot. Geo-fencing was also carried out, and evidence was obtained from the spot, including body parts of the suicide bomber, fingerprints from the pistol used in the attack and empty shells.
The CCPO said that the NADRA team was called to the spot to trace fingerprints from the pistol to identify suicide bombers and his facilitators. Similarly, the rickshaw driver has also been apprehended. He said, “in light of all the evidence, the investigative team has broken the network involved in the attack. CCPO Ijaz Khan added that the family of the suicide bomber has been identified and the remaining members of the network will be traced in 48 hours.
