PESHAWAR: Special Assistant Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said that ISIL has claimed responsibility for a suicide attack at Shia mosque during Friday prayers in Kocha Risaldar.
Addressing a press conference at the Information Cell with Deputy Inspect General (DIG) Operations Noman Siddiqui, Saif said that the documents of suicide would have been made in Pakistan as his parents had come here 40 years ago. Barrister Saif said that the judgment of cases are delayed in the courts or the sentences are reduced while the police prepare the case according to their capacity.

He said that and issuing judgment in the case is the prerogative of the court. The Special Assistant that after the Kocha Risaldar incident, the police has conducted security audit of 45,174 educational institutions in all sensitive areas and directed 6,395 institutions to improve security while action was taken against 35 educational institutions.
He said that the sacrifices of the police against terrorism are unforgettable and 14 policemen have been martyred and 24 injured in the last two months. He said that raids were being carried out to arrest Abdul Wajid alias Usman Ghazi, the facilitator of Kocha Risaldar incident. Saif informed that Usman Ghazi was also involved in the murder of Sardar Satnam Singh and Qazi Sheikh Hameed.
Yesterday, the Capital City Police (CCPO) Mohammad Ijaz Khan informed the Muttahida Amn Committee that “security audit” of places of worship and educational institutions have been conducted after the last Friday suicide bombing in Peshawar’s Shia mosque. The CCPO said that security have been fortified at the entry point of major cities after the reports that more terrorist have entered the country from Afghanistan. He informed that full proof security arrangements have been made for all places of worship for Friday prayers.
