PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has accepted all the demands of ruling party ally, Mutahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) to get its support on the no-confidence motion against Prime minister Imran Khan. Both sides have finalised dialogues and formed a committee to oversee the implementation of commitments.
On Thursday, the MQM-P delegation visited Zardari House for meeting with Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The MQM-Pdelegation was included Amir Khan, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Aminul Haq, Wasim Akhtar and Hanif Javed.

On the occasion, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Nasir Shah, Saeed Ghani and Murtaza Wahab and Rukhsana Bangash were also present. According to sources, the meeting took place in a very pleasant atmosphere in which Asif Zardari and Bilawal accepted MQM’s demands. A committee, comprising members of PPP and MQM, has been formed to work out a roadmap for progress and action on the MQM’s points. The committee includes Javed Hanif, Kanwar Naveed and Khawaja Izharul Hassan from MQM while Murtaza Wahab, Saeed Ghani and Jam Khan Shoro from PPP.
According to sources, the members of the committee will formulate a formula for implementation of further strategies and points.
However, the MQM leader Aamir Khan has said that they have not yet decided who to support in the no-confidence motion. Khan said that consultation is going on and a decision will be taken in the best interest of the people of Sindh. He said that he had been in touch with PPP as well as Maulana Fazlur Rehman for two weeks and would take a decision based on the past experiences.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the PTI will fight till the end and the no-confidence motion will fail. The meeting of the political committee was held at PM office in which political situation, contacts with allied parties and angry members were reviewed. The PTI legal team also called on Prime Minister Imran Khan. The Prime Minister was briefed on the hearing on the presidential reference in Supreme Court. Sources said that the government has prepared a strategy for the National Assembly session.
