PESHAWAR: Amir Muqam, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has said that after the Imran Khan, the opposition political parties are planing no-confidence motion against KP chief minister.
“There will be a positive change in the country within the next 10 days,” Muqam said while addressing an election rally in Shangla. He claimed that at-least 50 members of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are in contact with the opposition political parties.

The PML-N leader claimed that the in the next general election, no would dare to contest election on the PTI tickets because of “record” inflation and economic crisis by the “incompetent” ruler. He said that since the start of politics, the people of Shangla has never disappointed him and would also vote PML-N in the upcoming local government elections. “Whether it is earthquake, flood or terrorism, the PML-N has also stand firm with the people of Shangla.
Addressing the gatherings, Engineer Amir Muqam said that several false cases of corruption have been made against Mian Nawaz Sharif by the PTI government and so far, they failed to prove even a single penny of corruption.
The PTI’s strong government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa poses no threat to observers, but political analysts say the rapidly changing situation at the federal level could also affect the province’s politics.
Before Amir Muqam, the Pakistan Peoples Party KP president had also claimed that several PTI members are in contact with the opposition parties. However, the government has rejected the claims and KP assembly has also passed resolution in support of Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and PM Imran Khan.
According to observers, some PTI lawmakers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are angry with their leadership and efforts are being made appease them to avoid any political crisis arises in the province. Bilawal Afridi, parliamentary leader of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has already parted ways with the ruling party PTI as the BAP central leadership said that it is free in decisions on no-confidence motion against the PM.
The BAP has four members in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and after ending alliance with PPP, the number of government members have reduced to 93, while the number of members of the opposition has increase from 47 to 51.
