FIA holds symposium to devise strategy against cybercrime
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing (CCW) arranged a symposium to chalk out a strategy to combat cyber offenses effectively. The conference was attended by all the zonal as well as circle in-charges of the agency, said a press release.
Addressing the symposium, CCW Additional Director General Dr Ehsan Sadi said, “Corruption, inefficiency and high handedness of any officer in the CCW will not be tolerated.”
Earlier, CCW Director Waqar Ahmed Chauhan evaluated the performance of zonal officers and circle in-charges of the wing regarding the disposal of cybercrime enquiries/cases, arrest of proclaimed offenders and court absconders as well as their initiative in public outreach and awareness against cybercrimes.
The directions were also passed to give maximum relief to the victims of cybercrime while ensuring impartiality and confidentiality in cases of sensitive nature, especially involving the women and children. – APP
